The sum of $200.00 was sent to purchase a sewing machine for a young girl. Charlotte completed some training in tailoring and being of a poor family could not buy a sewing machine. What she had been doing was using someone else’s machine to sew clothes requested by customers. This aid came as a big surprise to Charlotte.
